Help find Miles & Mary’s stolen stuff

Seattle Weekly KIRO7 Federal Way Mirror

A Captain in the Air National Guard who specializes in rescue and just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and his wife, a Nurse Practitioner who has been working on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic, had everything they own stolen the morning of 8/18/21. They were in the process of a military move from San Francisco to Anchorage and woke up to find that their U-Haul and pickup truck were stolen from the Courtyard Marriott parking lot in Federal Way, WA. Among the stolen items in the two trucks were military medals and awards, irreplaceable military mementos, diplomas, family heirlooms, and all of their furniture. Thanks to the help of local community members, both the stolen dark green 1994 Toyota Pickup truck and 20′ U-Haul were found, but the vehicles were badly damaged and most property is still missing. Everything they own was in those trucks, so help locating the stolen belongings would be greatly appreciated!

Much of the truck was filled with military gear as this was a military move and Miles does rescue for the Air Force. His gear is labeled with “BY” initials, “131st RQS, Pararescue,” “Combat Rescue Officer,” or “Air Force.”
